SPORTFISHING SCHEDULE

CHESAPEAKE BAY
"MyDesire" will be docked at Harrison's Fishing Center on Tilghman Island for the 2009 season. The boat will be available for charter from April 18 through Oct. 31st. The last five years were probably the best seasons in history with limits of rockfish on most trips. The fishing was just short of fantastic and I am looking forward to another great year. We can keep 1 fish per person over 28" during the Trophy Season (April 18th - May 15th ) The Trophy fish average 20 to 25 pounds and 30 plus pounds was not uncommon. From mid May through November we are available for trolling, light tackle chumming and live lining for school rockfish. We can keep 2 fish per person over 18" starting May 16th.

All charter boat trips are for up to 6 passengers. Even though we are licensed to carry 6 people, I have found that no Captain has the ability to provide each angler with a chance to battle a large fish on every trip. The charters who take only 4 people are rewarded with a much higher percentage of landing a trophy fish and have a more exciting sportfishing trip. It only cost a few extra dollars, to provide yourself with the increased odds. If you want the ultimate sportfishing trip take yourself and a friend and you will never have to worry about whose turn it is for the next fish. Everything is provided for your sportfishing experience except food and drinks. (It's ok to bring enough food for the Captain & Mate) A deposit is required for a reservation and must be received within 10 days after the reservation is made to hold the date. Customers may cancel the trip and receive their deposit back, provided they cancel at least three weeks in advance of the charter. The Captain is the only one who has the right to cancel at any time, due to weather and other circumstances. If the Captain is unable to run the fishing trip on the scheduled date, the trip will be rescheduled or the deposit refunded. If you do not arrive at the boat by your scheduled departure time (We give all charters a one hour grace period), all deposits are forfeited and the Captain reserves the right to assign another party.(Please call if you are running late).

TIPPING As in most service businesses, tipping is appriciated. The Mate or Captains reward for their day of work is what you feel they deserve in a tip. If you have made a decision not to take a mate, remember the Captain must work much harder and put in additional hours doing the mates job to make your day a success. He also has the added cost of paying a boat cleaner after your trip and appriciates any tips to help with the extra expense. The average tip is 15% to 20% of the cost of the trip. If you do not feel the Captain or Mate deserves a tip please let the Captain know about your disappointments. JUST REMEMBER, fish don't bite all the time but we try all the time.
